Federal Bar Association

The Northern/Eastern Oklahoma chapter of the Federal Bar Association provides educational and networking opportunities for attorneys practicing in this Court.

The FBA furthers the highest standards of federal practice, professional development, and community outreach.  Our chapter has provided both criminal law education and civil insights after the changes wrought by McGirt v. Oklahoma, 140 S. Ct. 2452 (2020).  With the generous support and participation of our judges, we offer meaningful bench and bar interactions through brown bag lunches and twice-yearly casual social events featuring judicial guests.

Our chapter invests in the present and the future.  We have an active mentorship program with the FBA student chapter at the University of Tulsa College of Law, which pairs attorneys and law students in mentor/mentee relationships for the year.  We also facilitate a civil discourse program for local high school students, including students enrolled in alternative education and counseling programs, to foster understanding and appreciation for civics, civility, and critical thinking in rising generations.

We encourage all attorneys, paralegals, and law students interested in federal practice to join our chapter and always welcome ideas, suggestions, and conversations on how we can best fulfill the FBA’s role as the voice of the federal bench and bar.
